Founded in 1996 by former racing driver Zoltán Zengo, Zengo Motorsport is one of Hungary’s most recognized racing teams. The team has a rich history in touring car championships, including WTCC, WTCR and Pure ETCR where it has played a significant role in developing young talent and achieving international success, such as earning Pure ETCR Teams’ Title and Mattias Ektström winning the WDC in Zengo’s Cupra e-Racer car in 2021.
2025 marks a new chapter for the team, as we expand into formula racing by entering the E4 Championship – a series we believe is an excellent platform for driver development and technical growth.
Gáspár Benett is a young and ambitious Hungarian driver, making his formula racing debut this year. With a strong karting background and excellent adaptability, Benett represents the future of Hungarian motorsport. He has shown great promise in pre-season testing and in F4 CEZ, and is eager to gain experience and grow within the E4 environment.
Zoltán Zengo, Team Principal: “Back in 2024 I was convinced by Team Manager Máté Kerekes and Chief Engineer Gergo Szucs to enter the world of single-seaters… and after many successful years in touring car racing, I became interested in this genre of motorsports. We believe that this step will help us support the next generation of Hungarian drivers, starting with the talented Benett Gáspár. We’re looking forward to competing at Paul Ricard and to becoming part of the E4 family.”
